September Real Estate Update for the Okanogan Valley
OKANOGAN VALLEY MARKET SNAPSHOT
Sales were down slightly in August, there were 10 residential sales in the Okanogan Valley, compared to 12 in July. The average days on market was 201, and the average sales price was $137,190. As of September 10, there were 311 active residential listings. Search available homes here.
Land sales were also down to 6 sales in August, compared to 17 in July. Average acreage size sold was 15 acres with an average of 580 days on market.
These are sales reported through the NWMLS for the Okanogan Valley, and do not reflect the entire county, or those from private parties, or offices who are not members of the NWMLS. These statistics are deemed reliable, but are not guaranteed.

Lentil Barley Soup - It is feeling kind of "fallish" out there - time for soups!
3/4 cup chopped onion 3/4 cup chopped celery 1 clove garlic, minced 2-4 tbsp. butter 6 cups water 1 quart tomatoes undrained 3/4 rinsed lentils 3/4 rinsed pearled barley 6 beef bouillon cubes 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. rosemary 1 cup thinly sliced carrots 1 pint canned beef or venison salt and pepper to taste Cook onion, celery and garlic in butter until tender. Add water, tomatoes, lentils, barley, beef, and spices. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Add carrots and simmer 15 minutes more. Top with cheese if desired.
