September Real Estate Update for the Okanogan Valley

OKANOGAN VALLEY MARKET SNAPSHOT

Things looked better in August!  The number of homes sold increased to 12 in August, up from 8 in July.  The average sale price also increased to $148,167, up from $139,500 in July, and the number of days on market decreased to 190, from 273. As of 9/13/10, there are 309 active residential listings in the Okanogan Valley. Search active listings .

Vacant land sales were up in August to 12, compared to 6 in July.  Average days on market down to 344 from 575 in July.  Price per acre varied widely from $671 for a 20 acre parcel to $13,333 for a 2 acre parcel w/power, water and irrigation.  As of 9/13 there were 602 active land listings in the Okanogan Valley through the Northwest Multiple.  Search active listings.

Apple Cake
Super good, super easy!

MIX

4 cups apples cut into 1 inch chunks

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup cooking oil

 

ADD

1 cup chopped nuts

2 eggs - beaten

2 tsp. vanilla

 

Mix together and add:  2 cups flour, 2 tsp. soda, 2 tsp. cinnamon, and 1 tsp. salt.  Bake in 9 X 13 pan at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
