Land sales decreased in September to 5, down from 12 in August, with the average days on market 190, compared to 344 in August. Currently 581 land listings through the NWMLS.

The Tonasket ASB is having a community concert and auction fundraiser October 23 at the high school starting at 7 pm. Proceeds from this event will benefit the marching band! The Tonasket Marching Band has auditioned and been accepted to lead the Disneyland Parade in March!! FROM MY KITCHEN TO YOURS...
Generally, I like to bring you my "tried and true" recipes, but I found a new one I thought I would share. I haven't tried it yet, though it is on the menu for my kids' upcoming Halloween party!
Pumpkin Spice Cookies
1 cup butter, softened1 cup sugar2 large eggs1/4 cup spiced rum*3 1/4 cups flour2 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice Mix dough as usual, and chill for one hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4" thickness. Using a 4" pumpkin cutter, cut out dough. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool and frost. ICING 1/4 cup cold water3 tbsp. meringue powder2 cups confectioner's sugarFood coloring, optional * May substitute 1 tbsp. vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp. rum extract for the spiced rum if you prefer.
